A Life Coach has been described as “a person who works in mentoring role with their client who wishes to initiate change in one or more areas”. In Life Coaching the client is challenged to move forward, to set goals for what they want to achieve and to establish an action plan for how they will work towards their goals. The client is challenged to raise their expectations for themselves; to move outside their comfort zones and to break away from self-limiting beliefs. A Life Coach does not wish to create dependency but to encourage in their client the self-belief and confidence to make their own decisions, to trust their own opinions (while being able to take advice from others) and to reconnect with their authentic self.
